The Route
A stunning trail event round Sheffield, extending through South Yorkshire, Derbyshire and the Peak District.
The route is challenging. Sheffield is built on 7 hills with a third of the City being located within the Peak District. The first 20 miles is a mix of hard trails/tarmac/paths whilst fields and trails are then followed through undulating valleys. From half way, the route progresses through the splendour of the Peak District along with a high amount of ascent and descent.
We will not be insisting upon completion of a qualifying event in order to enter but we do advise that this is not recommended as a first time ultra distance event.
The route follows the waymarked Sheffield Country Walk and has been rerouted to avoid road sections. It has also been extended to follow as much of the Sheffield Boundary as possible.
An event of two halves! The first half is the warm up, the second half contains much of the ascents and descents!
