Relay Legs

Relay Leg 1

This is a flat opening section of approximately 11 miles - one for the speed merchants!

The route starts on the Trans Pennine Trail before joining the Blackburn Valley Trail to Meadhowhall. From here, the route follows the Sheffield & Tinsley Canal before joining the Sheffield Country Walk. The first Aid Station and change over is at Catcliffe Memorial Hall.

Relay Leg 2

Catcliffe Memorial Hall to Eckington Church Hall

This is a shorter leg of approximately 9 miles, which follows the River Rother before heading to the picturesque Treeton Dyke and Woodhouse Washlands. The route then passes through Rother Valley Country Park before re-joining the River Rother. Our second Aid Station is in Eckington Church Hall.

Relay Leg 3



Eckington Church Hall to Totley Church Hall

This leg of approximately 11 miles heads along The Moss before reaching the hamlet of Ford. The route continues along the Sheffield Country Walk along Moss Valley to Coal Aston before reaching the hamlet of Mickley. This section has much more challenging terrain!

Relay Leg 4

All Saints Church to Sugworth

This leg isn't for the faint hearted! Approximately 11.5 miles of undulating terrain, firstly heading up and over Totley Moor before dropping down to Fox House. The route then heads up Burbage Edge before heading along the stunning Stanage Edge. You'll not have time for photos but you'll wish you had.

Relay Leg 5

Sugworth to Worral Community Centre

This is the shortest leg of approximately 6.5 miles with stunning views and terrain. Passing The Strines Reservoir and Dale Dike Reservoir, the route heads into the quaint village of Bradfield passing the cricket ground before climbing to Upper Bradfield. The route remains high with far reaching views of the Peak District and towards Sheffield City.

Relay Leg 6

Worrall Community Centre to St George's Park

Another lengthy leg of approximately 11.5 miles. The route heads down to the River Don before ascending Birley Edge before reaching the iconic Jawbone Hill. The route then heads through Wheata Woods and along the Trans Pennine Trail to the hamlet of Finkle Street. The route ascends to the village of Wortley before heading down to the finish.
